School Safety Conference in Austin, TX

Imagine a state the size of TX trying to effectively communicate the vision for school safety.  They are fortunate to have the TX State Univ sponsoring the TX School Safety Center.  Here's a quick clip from the conference with the Center's director Dave Williams.  Sorry for the static in couple of places.

What’s the value of Volunteering?

People + Their Time = Valuable Effort

Recently we were asked by a new school starting a S.A.F.E. TEAM program about what numbers were out there to prove the value.  That caused us to run a Google search and we found two excellent sources.

1.  Corporation for National & Community Service has a published document called Volunteering in America from 2007.  Great stats including regional/state data.  link
